Keeping up with Kpop - SNSD vs 2NE1

Whenever I view a 2NE1 video, without a doubt the comment section is always loaded with comparisons with SNSD. Surprisingly, these comments are always the most thumbed up and get the most attention. :/ What's up with that? Comparing 2NE1 to a more popular girl group like SNSD only shows insecurity about the validity of their own favorites. It actually gets quite a bit annoying after a while, and after time, I have grown annoyance towards blackjacks and 2NE1 fans in general = = In all honesty, I used to like 2NE1 way more than I do now and this is all the result of SNSD and 2NE1 comparisons :(

2NE1
                                                                         VS

SNSD

Before you read this, I want to let everyone know that I am not trying to defend SNSD in any way, even though I might seem like it. Although I do prefer SNSD, I like 2NE1 very much also. I might be a bit cynical and harsh below, it's because I'm fed up with comparisons.

Let me break the subject of comparison down for ya

Blackjack (2NE1 fan): Omigosh, 2NE1 is way more talented and better than SNSD
Sone (SNSD fan): You call abuse of auto tune talent?
Blackjack: At least 2NE1 aren't a bunch of plastic barbies. 2NE1 actually makes meaningful music.
Sone: Are you stating that none of the 2NE1 members have had cosmetic surgery? ahem BOM ahem.
And you honestly call "CLAP YOUR HANDS! I WANT TO ROCK YOUR BODY!" meaningful
         music?
Blackjack: Are you so deluded with your SNSD fandom that you fail to see how much better 2NE1 is than SNSD?

And it goes on......

Seriously guys,

What's all the fighting about anyway?
Analyze your words, reflect on your actions. What was the point of all this?

First of all, 2NE1 and SNSD are completely different. 2NE1 is westernized in every way and makes music with "the independent woman" theme. SNSD is much more oriented towards the Asian audience and makes cuter and less intense music.

Second of all, 2NE1 and SNSD are equally talented. It's impossible to compare the two because as mentioned above, they are so evidently different in expressing their musical talents.

BEWARE
HERE COMES THE FUCKING IMPROPER LANGUAGE! :) yup, i know you get it.

Finally, although each individual is entitled to their own opinion and is permitted to develop their own personal taste, you don't have to let the whole world know about yours. No one fucking cares. You can state nicely how you prefer 2NE1 over (insert group) and show respect to the other group. But I just hate it when people downgrade SNSD just because they want 2NE1 to get more attention and gain fans.

So yeah...
As you can see, I'm pretty fucking tired of these useless haters who call themselves honorable blackjacks.

What.The.Fucking.Hell.

Have a a nice COMPARISON FREE day,

Essential by Dr. Kao - Ultra Honey & Shea Butter Hair Mask Review

The last time I visited my local drugstore, I had picked up the Essential hair mask, which I had heard many good things about from my friends and the internet (hehe) :)

This hair mask comes in two types: Nuance Airy (pink) and Rich Premier (orange)

I went ahead and got the Rich Premier (the orange one), which supposedly makes your hair shiny and softer. If you know me, one of my greatest dreams is to have a ridiculously silky and shiny mane :). So naturally, I chose the one that would make my hair develop these qualities.

OKAY, let's get on with my review <3

Packaging: I was instantly attracted to its adorable packaging and the colors of the containers. Pink and Marigold have to be one of my favorite colors :D Although I would prefer a sleek and sophisticated packaging for a hair mask, the cuteness of these containers really won me over.

Smell: This has to be the best part of the hair mask. The smell is just so rich and sweet - everything that I could wish for the smell of my favorite hair mask. :) The orange one is supposed to smell like sunflowers and fruitiness I believe and surprisingly, it smells even better than that. I would describe the smell in three words: Fruity. Rich. Delicious.

Application + Directions on the back: The directions on the back of the product were pretty straightforward and I had no problems figuring out how to use the hair mask. Even though I already knew how...hehhe...= =
There wasn't anything special with the texture of the hair mask. It's slimy, but not sticky, which means that you won't have any problems getting all the hair mask on your palm and fingers onto your hair. :)

THEN... after drying my hair

(drumroll)

Instant Results: The instant results for this product were surprisingly evident. After I had dried my hair, I found it much easier to manage and indeed silkier. :O

Over-time Results: After a few more times using this product, my hair did become rather shiny at times. As expected, this mask doesn't really do much "repair" to my hair, it just makes my hair silkier and shinier, which is an effect that wears off if you stop using this hair mask.

OVERALL, I was really satisfied with this product. I would give it a 8.5/10. Even though it doesn't really heal my hair, it was a good investment, considering it only cost like...7 or 8 USD. I definitely recommend it for people who aren't planning to splurge on expensive hair treatments and really just want a little extra shine.

If you don't live in Asia, I don't think you can get this though :(

Have a nice hair day and thanks for reading,

An attempt at a movie review: On Stranger Tides

3 POSTS IN A ROW.
Damnit, do I have nothing better to do?

ANYWAY...

I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides last night! :)

The captains :)

Its only until now that I've been starting to think about the movie. Last night, at 12 am, I was way too drained of all my thought juice and couldn't really think properly :P

It was...uhh...a pretty ehh..err..movie..

Yup, that's exactly how anyone would describe it.
It was an entertaining movie, but I feel like it just wasn't very good.

I do prefer Penelope Cruz over Keira Knightley, but she didn't seem very special in the movie, or was it just me? In fact, she was rather annoying.

Her character was called Angelica, a horrible name if you ask me .

I don't know why, but I feel like there wasn't actually a bad guy in the movie. In the first movie, it was Barbossa. The second and third movie it was the British guy. In this movie, it was Blackbeard? His evilness wasn't even made that clear in the movie. Plus, he was Angelica's (Penelope Cruz) father? Hm...

I would rate this movie 6.5 out of 10. It has entertainment, action, and special effects, but it lacks substance, a logical plot, and characters.

There was a new pair of star-crossed lovers, the Christian boy and the mermaid (haha strange huh?). I found their lovey dovey - ness really awkward, unrealistic, and sudden. What happened to them anyway? Did the mermaid eat him?

a new camera...i do so wish for

I do have a camera. It's a Sony I-forget-what. But recently, I have realized that the pictures it takes are of low quality and the flash is realllly yellow. Plus, the video quality sucks.
I'm not saying Sony cameras are horrible, it's just the cheap one that I foolishly bought, is err...not that great.

I've been doing some research on DSLR cameras, and I find that they are too heavy and bulky for me to actually carry around. Recently, I discovered the compact SLR cameras! Or...is that what you call it?

After reading some reviews and looking at some pictures o the web, I have fallen in love with the

Duh..dada... dedde (fail drumrolll :P)

      Lumix GF2!!

Aint it a beauty??

I'm pretty sure I could bring that along on regular days and make spontaneous photography expeditions! :)

This is the substance of dreams !!
and nightmares...

I think it costs much more than my P&S sony.
Possibly 3 or 4 times more.
Yikes!
But I'm saving up....or so as I think I am.

So..... What do you think?

OMG my name is too goddamn long.

My Kpop Obsession

Yes. Kpop.
It has become incredibly popular over the past few years.
Even I, a seemingly callous person, have been attracted to the versatility of the girl/boy group members and the rhythm of their pop songs.
Maybe it is because people miss the old bubblegum pop during the late 1990s, the innocence and cuteness of the singers were simply irresistible.
Now, there's Kpop. SNSD. Super Junior. BIGBANG. 2NE1. SHINee. Wonder Girls. 2PM. only to list the few I know most.
Last year, Nobody and Sorry, Sorry brought me to Kpop, and I will forever be infuriated yet thankful for the popularity of these songs.

SNSD: The #1 girl group in Korea. My favorite :) Cute. Irresistible. Pretty. Talented. Asian. (SM)
2NE1: Closely following SNSD is 2ne1, they've got SWAG. RAP skillz. INDEPENDENCE. American Influenced. (YG)
Wonder Girls: Nobody, nobody but you!
Consistent. Cute. Inalterable. Brief. Catchy music :) (JYP)

SNSD :) Pretty Loves

2NE1. Daring Loves.

Edgy Loves. Wonder Girls.

Super Junior: Very popular boy group in Korea. I'm not a big fan of them, but I'll take a shot. Charming. Vocally Gifted. Handsome. Asian. (SM)
SHINee: I don't really like them but I'll try to describe them in three words. Daring. Cute. Gay. (but that's just what I think) (SM)
BIGBANG: My favorite boy group. Extremely talented. Versatile. Fashionable. Influential. Beautiful (their music ha). (YG)
2PM: hot. consistent. popular. distinctive. masculine. (JYP)
Super Junior. The Handsome Humongous Group

The group I really don't like. And I didn't purposefully find a hideous picture.
                                         SHINee

2PM

BIGBANG. YEP THE VIPS :)

I know this is my first post, but Kpop is what I've been obsessing over recently, and naturally the first thing I would think to post about. This is not what I made my blog for, so no one should be expecting consistent posts about Kpop. My interests come and go in a blink of an eye.

Thanks for reading.

Love,

Unconditionally Mila :)
